Argentina's Mendoza and Buenos Aires host major flamenco and indie music events
After a long artistic period in Spain, flamenco singer Mariela Contreras returns to Mendoza for the show “Desde el Albaicín” at the Teatro Independencia on 26 July. The performance blends traditional Andalusian flamenco with Latin‑American sounds, jazz influences and Argentine folk elements, and features a band of guitar, percussion, bass, drums and piano, plus guest dancers and surprise artists.
The independent duo CAMIONERO announces the 21st edition of its “Tracción a Sangre” cycle at Club Cultural Matienzo in Buenos Aires. The program runs from 11 to 14 August, with the 13‑14 August shows already sold out and tickets still available for the first two days. The event combines live music, visual art, tattoo workshops and a solidarity initiative, continuing the collective’s reputation as a key platform in the Argentine underground scene.
