Argentina's Mendoza and Tierra del Fuego Provinces Sign International Cooperation and Sports Development Agreements

The Mendoza provincial delegation, led by Emesa General Manager Mauricio Pinti Clop and AMICyT President Federico Morábito, took part in the International Urban and Regional Cooperation (IURC) mission in the Río Minho region of Portugal and Spain. The mission, funded by the European Union, gathered European and Latin American authorities to exchange experience on innovation, energy efficiency and sustainable development. Pinti Clop highlighted that “energy efficiency is no longer just a cost‑saving tool; it is a strategic policy to improve the competitiveness of our regional economies and advance sustainable development.” Morábito added that “international cooperation and strengthening productive clusters are essential to boost innovation and create more opportunities for Mendoza’s companies.”

In Tierra del Fuego, Minister of Citizen Welfare and Justice Lucía Rossi and Terra Ignis Energy CEO Maximiliano D’Alessio signed a collaboration agreement to promote sport development across the province. The pact will allow the company to provide goods, services, technical assistance, logistics and training to strengthen sports programs, support athletes and improve infrastructure, with a focus on inclusion for people with disabilities and older adults. Rossi said the agreement “represents a very important step to keep strengthening sport in Tierra del Fuego,” while D’Alessio noted that “investing in sport is investing in opportunities, values and the future of our community.”
