Argentina's Mendoza Province Accelerates Reconstruction of Route 143

Minister Natalio Mema inspected the ongoing reconstruction of the 107‑kilometre National Route 143 linking Pareditas, San Carlos and San Rafael in Mendoza Province. The project, financed with more than USD 47 million from Resarcimiento funds, includes structural rebuilding of the pavement, lane widening, new intersections and urban improvements, with an average progress of about 8% across three sections.

Work on the first section continues with lane expansions and temporary traffic detours, while the second section involves leveling and compacting shoulders under assisted traffic flow. The main road work is slated for completion within a year, and the urban segment in San Rafael within 18 months, aiming to restore a key transport corridor after four decades of neglect.
