Argentina's Mensa teams with San Isidro school to combat bullying of gifted students

Mensa Argentina signed a collaboration agreement with Colegio Nuestra Señora de la Unidad in San Isidro, making the school the official Mensa hub for the northern Greater Buenos Aires area. The partnership will provide teacher training, family workshops, student assessments and cultural activities aimed at recognizing and supporting students with high intellectual capacities and preventing bullying directed at them.

Separately, a federal meeting on high abilities will be held in Resistencia, organized by the Asociación Civil Altas Capacidades Argentina. The event seeks to raise awareness of the condition, promote early detection and press for the regulation of Provincial Law No. 2712, enacted in 2017 to create a program for talented and high‑ability students but still lacking implementing rules. Specialists will discuss educational challenges and the need for protocols, interdisciplinary teams and teacher training.
