Argentina’s Mobile Health Trains Expand Free Services in Tucumán and Chaco

The Ministry of Human Capital’s “Capital Humano” train ended its stop on 9 July in Colombres, Cruz Alta, Tucumán, where staff set up tents, provided eye exams and delivered glasses to children aged 6‑17, and attended more than 300 patients with a full range of specialties—including medical, gynecological, pediatric, audiology, ophthalmology, dental, mammography, radiology, laboratory tests, vaccinations, pharmacy services, ANSES and DNI paperwork, plus a library and itinerant cinema.

In Fontana, Chaco, the INSSSEP‑backed “Tren 25 de Mayo” offered similar free health, social and administrative services. Coordinated by national, provincial and municipal authorities, the train delivered preventive medical checks, vaccinations, clinical, pediatric, dental, cardiology, mental‑health, audiology, ophthalmology, obstetric and nursing care, as well as ANSES, RENAPER and mobile civil‑registry assistance. Cultural activities such as a library and cinema were also provided. The train is scheduled to move to Barranqueras on 29 July.
