They detected critically important, antibiotic‑resistant bacteria such as Escherichia coli and Campylobacter, highlighting the need for stronger surveillance and responsible antimicrobial use to protect public health and food safety.

In the province of Entre Ríos, the national foot‑and‑mouth disease and brucellosis vaccination campaign concluded, inoculating more than 700,000 calves. The operation was criticized by local producers and animal health authorities for an accelerated schedule and a reclassification of young cattle that could leave calves born after July unprotected against brucellosis until the next campaign.
