Argentina's Provinces Roll Out New Health Reform Initiatives

Governor Rogelio Frigerio of Entre Ríos inaugurated the Provincial Interministerial Commission on Mental Health and Problematic Use (Coprisma). The body will coordinate policy planning and implementation for mental health and substance‑use issues, strengthening prevention, assistance and rights‑based approaches across the province.

In Buenos Aires Province, Health Minister Nicolás Kreplak presented the Integrated Health System of the Province of Buenos Aires (SIPBA). The proposal seeks to unite public, private and social‑security sectors under a unified legal framework, improve access and quality of care, and give the provincial health ministry clearer authority to plan, regulate and evaluate services.

Both initiatives aim to enhance inter‑sectoral coordination and expand state capacity to address complex health challenges within their respective provinces.
