Argentina's Provincial Banks Launch New Services Amid Economic Strain

Juan Cuattromo, president of Banco Provincia in Buenos Aires Province, announced the inauguration of new ATMs and stressed the bank’s solid, solvent position despite widespread loan and credit‑card delinquency. He noted provincial measures such as a 300‑million‑peso refinancing plan that benefitted nearly 200 borrowers and highlighted ongoing investments in AI‑enabled devices and infrastructure without staff reductions.

Nuevo Banco del Chaco activated its Adelanto Chaco 24 service, allowing debit‑card holders to advance purchases without interest or fees. The automatic, cost‑free service is available to provincial employees, state workers and private‑sector staff receiving salaries through the bank, covering everyday purchases at any merchant that accepts a debit card. The bank presents the product as a tool to help families manage cash‑flow gaps.
