Argentina's Provincial Energy Firm Starts $1.09B Grid Safety Procurement

The Empresa Provincial de la Energía (EPE) announced two public tenders totaling more than $1.090 billion Argentine pesos to procure essential equipment for maintaining and upgrading the provincial electric grid. The primary contract covers the purchase of 545 dielectric ladders—including 260 extensible ladders (4‑7 m), 260 scissor‑type ladders (4‑7 m) and 25 longer ladders (6.5‑12 m)—with a budget of $890.635.746 (about USD 620 000). The second tender seeks 4 850 MN414 straight bolts, budgeted at $199.607.285,79 (about USD 143 000).

The equipment will be distributed to EPE depots and service branches across Santa Fe province, including the cities of Rafaela, Rosario, Santa Fe, Reconquista, Esperanza, Ceres, Las Rosas, Firmat, San Lorenzo and Villa Constitución. Delivery is required within 90 days. Both contracts aim to improve safety conditions for field crews and ensure uninterrupted electricity supply throughout the region.
