Argentina's Provincial Pension Fund Pays Delayed Increases to Retired Teachers

The provincial pension fund (Caja de Previsión) confirmed that outstanding debts to retired teachers and other pensioners have been credited, including a shortfall from July 2025 and the pending 3.5 % salary increase. The delay was attributed to agencies failing to submit accurate data, which prevented the fund from processing the payments earlier.

Patricia Blanco, the fund's representative, stressed that the responsibility lies with the reporting agencies and that the fund can only liquidate amounts once all information is received and correctly validated. She affirmed that once the data is complete, the board will approve the increase and it will be reflected in the next pension disbursement, ensuring retirees receive the full amount owed.
