Argentina's PUAM boost and Mexico's Bienestar senior pension updates announced
Argentina's National Social Security Administration (ANSES) confirmed that in August pension recipients of the Universal Pension for the Elderly (PUAM) will receive a 1.89% increase, raising the basic amount to 335,820.74 pesos. An additional extraordinary bonus of 70,000 pesos will be paid, bringing the total monthly income to 405,820.74 pesos. Payments will follow the usual schedule based on the last digit of the beneficiary's ID number.
In Mexico, the Banco del Bienestar announced that the September‑October 2026 installment of the senior pension will continue at 6,400 pesos per beneficiary. Deposits are made directly onto the Bienestar card during the first days of the month, staggered according to the initial letter of the recipient's surname. No exact calendar has been released, and officials urge beneficiaries to rely only on official communications for dates and amounts.
