Argentina's Rivadavia and Villa María launch Month of Childhood celebrations

The Municipality of Rivadavia opened the 2026 Month of Childhood on 2 August with a family‑focused day in the locality of Roosevelt. Children and families enjoyed games, snacks, recreational activities and community performances as part of a month‑long schedule that will travel to other district towns.

In Villa María, the Los Olmos neighbourhood hosted a parallel celebration at Plaza Doctor Héctor Rodríguez. Mayor Eduardo Accastello and provincial legislator Verónica Navarro Alegre attended, joining local organisations such as the Centre for Family Promotion, the neighbourhood centre and the public library. The event featured live shows, sports stations, reading corners, free haircuts and hot chocolate, highlighting the collaborative effort to provide safe, inclusive spaces for children throughout August.
