Argentina's San Juan and Misiones provinces confirm mid‑year bonus payments for public workers
The government of San Juan province announced that the first installment of the mid‑year salary complement (SAC) will be available on Friday, 19 June 2026, with payments to be dispensed through ATMs to all provincial public‑administration employees. The timing aims to provide predictable liquidity for thousands of families ahead of Father's Day and to stimulate local commerce.
In Misiones province, officials said that the mid‑year bonus credited on the same Friday will not be subject to automatic bank deductions for overdue debts, allowing workers to receive the full amount. The province is allocating roughly 72 000 million pesos for the payments, a sum expected to boost consumption, trade and small‑business activity throughout the region.
Both measures are intended to increase household purchasing power and support internal demand during a period of economic slowdown.
