Argentina's Senate and Rivadavia Council set August legislative sessions

The Argentine Senate has scheduled ordinary sessions for Tuesday 4 August, Wednesday 5 August and Thursday 6 August, with commission meetings on the same days. Bills to be considered include a framework to promote economic and social development in the northern part of Entre Ríos, the creation of a Labor Conciliation Directorate under the provincial Ministry of Labor, several land‑donation proposals to local communes, and a resolution honoring composer and singer Emanuel Julio Noir.

The City Council of Rivadavia will convene on Monday 3 August for its eighth ordinary session of the year. The agenda covers a range of local initiatives: updates on water‑quality reports from regional electric cooperatives, a resolution rejecting reforms to the Institute of Social Prevision, a request to the national government to raise the ANSES pension bonus, ordinances to adopt provincial child‑rights and disability‑training laws, and measures to prevent violence in sports competitions, among other items.
