Argentina's SRT revokes 90+ labor risk rules as Cuba's CES urges consensus on new safety bill

The Argentine Superintendencia de Riesgos del Trabajo (SRT) issued Resolution 35/2026, formally repealing more than 90 regulations dating from 1996 to 2024. The move, published on 28 July, is part of a government‑directed effort to simplify the occupational‑risk legal framework and remove rules that have become obsolete or were implicitly superseded.

In Cuba, the Consejo Económico y Social (CES) approved a report supporting a draft amendment to the 1995 occupational‑risk prevention law. While welcoming new provisions on ergonomics, psychosociology, and protections for pregnant or nursing workers, CES warned that the bill lacks sufficient time for professional training and that many proposed changes may be difficult to interpret and apply without broader social consensus.
