Argentina's SSN bans two insurers from issuing new policies

The Superintendencia de Seguros de la Nación (SSN) has prohibited two insurance companies, Libra Compañía Argentina de Seguros S. A. and Comarseg Compañía Argentina de Seguros S. A., from issuing new insurance policies.

The sanctions were issued following the failure to present required financial statements and an audit report where the professional auditor abstained from expressing an opinion on the reasonableness of the accounts. In the case of Libra Seguros, the auditor noted that they were appointed after the legal deadline for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2026, which prevented the validation of technical operation controls and initial/closing balances. The company attributed the delay to administrative and financial reorganizations.
