Argentina's stage scene gears up for Frozen musical debut in 2027 and PINTI Awards nominations

Producers Ozono Producciones, MP Producciones and Los Rottemberg announced that Disney's Frozen musical will launch at the Gran Rex theatre on Corrientes Avenue in Buenos Aires in May 2027. The high‑profile production aims to bring the Broadway‑style show to Argentine audiences, with veteran producer Carlos Rottemberg highlighting its artistic and technical challenges.

The Asociación Argentina de Empresarios/as Teatrales y Musicales (AADET) will hold the inaugural Premios PINTI on 27 July at the Teatro Colón, broadcast live on el Trece. The awards honour excellence in commercial theatre for the period August 2025 to July 2026 across 19 categories. Nominees include productions such as "Charlie y la Fábrica de Chocolate" and "Annie", while Carlos Rottemberg receives a Trajectory award alongside Moria Casán and Guillermo Francella.
