Argentina's Tierra del Fuego and Catamarca discuss gender‑based violence and false accusations

In Ushuaia, officials from the Specialized Prosecutor’s Office for Gender and Family Violence held an open discussion with more than 20 local participants to examine proposed legislation aimed at penalising false accusations in gender‑based violence cases. In Catamarca, police intervened after a 30‑year‑old woman was assaulted by her partner, providing medical assistance through the emergency service SAME and holding the 31‑year‑old suspect in custody.
