Argentina's winter break cultural programs attract families to museums

During the winter school recess, Junín’s municipal museum opened a participatory day for children and families. The event, called "Lo que se descubre nos habita," used interactive stations of drawing and painting inspired by the works of local artist Héctor Cartier, allowing participants to create art inside the museum. Organisers from the municipal Culture Directorate highlighted the aim of reaching children beyond school‑based visits and noted a strong public turnout that will culminate with a book fair.

In the province of Chubut, the Subsecretaría de Cultura wrapped up the free “Vacaciones de Invierno en el Centro Cultural Provincial” program with three sessions on July 11, 18 and 25. Hosted at Rawson’s cultural center, the schedule featured the immersive circus‑themed exhibition "SIN RED" by Pablo Renny alongside workshops such as shadow theater, paper circus, artistic makeup, juggling, globology, a “Adventures in Chubut” tour, and a PaleoArt workshop led by Claudio Serrano. Performances by local entertainers, including the clown Héctor Bon and the group Mamarracho, drew hundreds of families, receiving enthusiastic community response.
