Agricultural and industrial sectors see activity in Argentina and Dominican Republic
Various regional agricultural and industrial developments are taking place across Argentina and the Dominican Republic. In the Dominican Republic, Santo Domingo will host the sixth edition of the Dominican Chocolate Festival from September 11 to 13. The event features over 18 national brands and aims to highlight the country's cacao production and value-added chocolate industry.
In Argentina, agricultural sectors face diverse challenges and opportunities. In Santa Fe, Governor Maximiliano Pullaro emphasized the importance of the link between agriculture, industry, and technology during a visit to the San Justo Rural Expo. Additionally, the Ministry of Productive Development is working to integrate mutual societies into productive financing to support local infrastructure and development.
However, the sector faces economic pressures. Rural contractors report tight margins due to rising machinery costs and low grain profitability. Meanwhile, analysts highlight that regional economies, including viticulture, tea, and citrus, remain vital for employment, supporting approximately 1.27 million jobs across the country.
