Argentine Air Force holds commemorative ceremonies

The Argentine Air Force held ceremonies to commemorate significant historical milestones. One event marked the 43rd anniversary of the institution's 'Bautismo de Fuego' during the 1982 battle for the Falkland Islands (Malvinas). Held at the Morón Air Base, the ceremony included Defense Minister Luis Petri and Air Force Chief of Staff Brigadier Gustavo Javier Valverde.

The commemoration featured several aircraft in flight, including C-130H Hercules and Fokker F-28 Fellowship, as well as static displays from the National Aeronautics Museum. Additionally, technical and mechanical personnel from the Peruvian Air Force were awarded the 'Heroes of Malvinas' Order for their support during the 1982 conflict, specifically for working on Mirage MV-P aircraft.

In a separate context, the institution also recognized its broader history, tracing its origins back to the 1912 decree by President Roque Sáenz Peña that established the Military Aviation School, which laid the foundation for the modern Argentine Air Force.
