Argentine athletes advance toward Olympic and Parapan American goals

Argentine athletes Uriel Muñoz and Sol de la Riva are making significant strides toward major international competitions.

Muñoz, a middle- and long-distance runner, recently secured national titles in both the 1500 and 5000 meters. Despite managing a physical injury sustained over the past year, he is focusing on his goal of qualifying for the Olympic Games while continuing his academic and athletic training in Puerto Rico.

In sport shooting, 16-year-old Sol de la Riva has achieved a Minimum Qualification Standard (MQS) at a prestigious international tournament. This achievement marks a critical step in her quest to qualify for the Parapan American Games in Buenos Aires, as she now needs to meet the required mark in a second distinct competition to finalize her participation.
