Argentine athletes excel at South American Games in Santa Fe

Argentine athletes achieved notable results at the Santa Fe 2026 South American Games. Micaela Levaggi won the gold medal in the 1500 meters after a late surge, moving from fifth place to first in the final meters of the race.

Levaggi expressed deep gratitude to the public for supporting a raffle that funded her travel and training in Europe, which contributed to her recent South American and national records.

In triathlon, Argentine athlete Moira Miranda finished in seventh place, marking her best performance among her compatriots. Following her recovery from injury, Miranda is now focusing on qualifying for the 2027 Pan American Games in Lima through upcoming competitions in Santa Fe and Chile.
