Argentine authorities address fruit fly certification and water emergency

In La Pampa, authorities are advancing efforts to certify productive sites as free from fruit fly. The Ente Provincial del Río Colorado (EPRC) hosted a technical meeting to evaluate sanitary conditions and surveillance procedures. This initiative aims to strengthen the province's sanitary status and facilitate the transport and commercialization of fruit by meeting SENASA requirements through monitoring and fruit sampling.

Separately, officials at the Ente Interprovincial Túnel Subfluvial met to discuss preventive actions regarding a declared water emergency and technological modernization. Led by Economy and Public Services Minister Fabián Boleas, the meeting addressed potential impacts from the El Niño phenomenon on the Paraná River basin. The plan focuses on ensuring the structural safety of the tunnel and maintaining connectivity between Entre Ríos and Santa Fe through coordinated responses with civil defense and road authorities.
