Argentina intensifies migration controls in Rosario

Argentine federal forces have intensified migration and security operations in Rosario. The National Directorate of Migrations, supported by the Federal Police, conducted inspections at the Mariano Moreno bus terminal and various commercial sectors. During these operations, authorities checked 420 people, identifying several individuals with irregular migratory status and one Chinese citizen with an active expulsion order.

These actions are part of a broader security plan managed by the Ministry of Security to prevent labor exploitation, human trafficking, and migratory fraud. Authorities reported that deportations exceeded 14,000 cases during the first half of 2026.
