Argentine authorities intercept three Chinese citizens in Formosa

The Argentine Naval Prefecture (PNA) intercepted three Chinese citizens who had entered the country illegally near the Bermejo River in the province of Formosa. The operation was initiated following a tip from a taxi driver who had been hired to transport the individuals. After the driver provided georeferenced location data to authorities at a border crossing, a patrol located the three individuals approximately seven kilometers from an international border crossing.

The individuals lacked documentation proving legal entry into Argentina. Following the intervention of the Formosa Fiscal Unit, the National Directorate of Migrations ordered their expulsion. The three citizens will be transferred to the Paso de los Libres International Border Crossing in Corrientes via Brazil, which was identified as their last recorded point of legal entry.

Reports indicate the group entered South America legally through Brazil, which does not require visas for Chinese citizens, then traveled through Paraguay before attempting to enter Argentina clandestinely.
