Argentine banking workers to receive $2 million peso bonus

The Asociación Bancaria (AB) has announced that banking workers in Argentina will receive a minimum bonus of $2,196,354.74 for Banker's Day, scheduled for payment this November. According to the union, this amount is subject to further increases based on upcoming monthly salary updates negotiated through collective bargaining processes.

In Argentina, labor unions maintain a significant role in the economy, frequently engaging in monthly negotiations to adjust wages in response to inflation. Major labor organizations, such as the Confederación General del Trabajo (CGT), represent millions of workers and negotiate essential terms including minimum wages, working hours, and benefits across various sectors like commerce and metallurgy.
