Argentine banks launch new financing for modular housing

Argentine banks are expanding financing options for modular housing, a growing sector characterized by rapid construction, predictable costs, and portability. Banco Provincia has introduced a specific UVA-indexed credit line for modular homes, offering loans of up to $100 million. This marks the third financial institution to enter this niche, following Banco Ciudad and Banco Hipotecario.

Unlike traditional mortgages, these are classified as personal loans and do not require a mortgage on the property, allowing applicants to avoid notary fees. Banco Provincia offers financing for up to 100% of the home value, including VAT, with repayment terms between 12 and 96 installments. Banco Ciudad provides UVA-indexed loans of up to $185 million with a maximum 10-year term and decreasing installment options.
