Argentine banks offer personal loans up to $60 million for retirees
Financial institutions in Argentina have updated their personal loan offerings for retirees and pensioners for September 2026. Many of these credit lines require that beneficiaries receive their pension payments through the specific institution providing the loan.
Key offerings include:
• BBVA: Offers the highest amount of up to $60 million for ANSES clients with a 60% interest rate and terms up to 72 months. • Banco Nación: Provides up to $50 million with a 72-month repayment period, alongside smaller salary advances. • Banco Provincia: Offers up to $50 million for beneficiaries of ANSES and provincial pension funds with terms up to 60 months. • Banco Ciudad: Provides up to $40 million for ANSES retirees with terms valid through the end of 2026. • Banco Comafi: Offers lines up to $10 million with a 60-month term.
General requirements typically mandate that monthly installments do not exceed 30% to 35% of the user's net income. Most processes are conducted digitally via mobile apps or home banking. Interest rates vary significantly by provider, with some long-term options reaching annual nominal rates (TNA) near 99%.
