Argentine banks offer varying interest rates for fixed-term deposits

Argentine financial institutions are offering varying interest rates for 30-day fixed-term deposits in pesos as of October 2026. According to data reported to the Central Bank of the Argentine Republic (BCRA), there is a significant gap in returns between different banking entities.

Reba Compañía Financiera offers the highest reported annual nominal rate (TNA) at 24%, followed closely by Banco Meridian at 23.75%. Other competitive rates include Banco CMF and Banco de Comercio at 23.5%. Among larger institutions, Banco Provincia and Banco Macro offer a TNA of 21% for clients.

Traditional major banks show lower rates, with Banco Nación offering approximately 19% to 19.25%, BBVA at 19%, and Banco Galicia at 18.25%. Some entities, such as Santander and Banco Patagonia, report rates between 16% and 17%.

For investors, the method of transaction also impacts returns. For example, Banco Nación provides a higher rate for digital operations (20%) compared to in-branch services (16.5%), resulting in a notable difference in total interest earned for the same capital amount.
