Argentine business executives expect moderate economic recovery

According to the IDEA 2026 Expectations Survey, 80% of business executives in Argentina anticipate a moderate improvement in the economy over the next year. Specifically, 68% expect moderate improvement and 12% expect significant improvement, while 6% project a worse scenario.

Key drivers for this positive outlook include macroeconomic stabilization, declining inflation, improved exchange rate balance, fiscal equilibrium, and the accumulation of reserves. However, critics within the survey highlighted stagnant consumer spending and the loss of purchasing power as ongoing economic constraints.

Regarding specific economic variables, 74% of executives foresee GDP growth in the next 12 months, and 68% expect inflation to decrease. While 57% project lower interest rates, expectations regarding unemployment are split, with 36% expecting it to rise, 36% expecting it to remain stable, and 28% expecting a decrease.
