Regional sports updates: funding for General Belgrano and tournament starts

Various regional sports tournaments and developments are underway across Argentina and Chile. In San Juan, the provincial government and the municipality of Sarmiento have confirmed economic support for General Belgrano, ranging between $12 and $15 million, to help the club compete in the Regional Amateur tournament. This assistance matches the support provided to other San Juan clubs, Sportivo Desamparados and Unión.

In Catamarca, the Torneo Regional Federal Amateur begins with increased ticket prices for local matches, including Tesorieri vs. Villa Cubas and Defensores de Esquiú vs. San Martín de El Bañado. Meanwhile, in Misiones, Jorge Gibson Brown is preparing for its debut in the same tournament despite economic constraints.

Rugby activities include the M16 Desarrollo Sur tournament in General Roca, the Regional NEA tournament featuring Taraguy and San José, and a large-scale event hosted by Los Tordos involving over 2,500 children from Argentina and Chile.
