Argentine clubs secure long-term deals for youth prospects

Argentine football clubs are securing long-term commitments from rising youth talents. Club Atlético Unión has officially extended the contract of goalkeeper Lucas Meuli until December 2028. Meuli, a key figure in the club's reserve team, has accumulated over 3,600 minutes in the Copa Proyección since his youth debut in 2022.

Separately, River Plate has reached an agreement for striker Bruno Cabral to sign his first professional contract, also extending through December 2028. The agreement includes a €100 million release clause. Cabral, a standout performer in the Messi Cup 2025, has maintained high scoring rates across various youth categories and has represented the Argentina U-15 and U-16 national teams.
