Argentine Congress to debate disability emergency and household debt

The Argentine Chamber of Deputies has approved the referral of several key projects to committees, including initiatives to extend the disability emergency status and address rising household debt.

Legislator Bernardo Biella stated that the move forces the ruling administration to address these social issues directly. Biella, a signatory of the disability emergency extension project, noted that the initiative was developed alongside families and organizations in Salta. He also highlighted the severity of the debt crisis, noting that in certain areas like the Salta conurbano, 60% of families are currently facing debt.
