Argentine Cooperatives Approve Annual Balances and Re‑elect Leaders

Two Argentine cooperatives held their ordinary annual assemblies in late July. The La Usina Popular Cooperativa de Obras, Servicios Públicos y Sociales “Sebastián de María” in Necochea approved its 2025 memory and balance and re‑elected César Arrieta as president, alongside other board members.

COTELVO Servicios also convened its ordinary general assembly, approving the memory and balance for its 62nd economic and social exercise (April 2025 – March 2026). The cooperative secured a 30‑year renewal of its water‑potable and sewage‑service concession, inaugurated an expansion of its second treatment plant increasing capacity from 140 000 to 200 000 L/h, introduced a new tariff‑control ordinance, and reinforced sewage‑lagoon embankments.

Both assemblies emphasized democratic governance, financial stability, and service improvements for their respective communities.
