Argentine cooperatives hold annual general assemblies

Two major Argentine cooperative organizations, RUS and the Argentine Federation of Electricity Cooperatives and Other Public Services (FACE), held their annual general assemblies to review financial reports and renew leadership.

During the 64th Ordinary General Assembly of RUS, President Juan Carlos Lucio Godoy announced he would not continue in his role. The assembly reviewed the general balance for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2026. New members proposed for the Board of Administration include Gregorio Garro, Antonio Chivetti, Luis Jaján, and Hernando Maxit, while Silvina Vazón will renew her mandate as a board member.

Separately, FACE scheduled its Ordinary Annual Assembly for October 23 in Buenos Aires. The meeting aims to review management reports and financial statements for its 87th fiscal year. A key component of the assembly is the election of new authorities, including the selection of five cooperatives to serve as regular board members representing Mendoza, Misiones, La Pampa, Neuquén, and Chaco, as well as seven cooperatives for substitute roles.
