Argentine court issues sentences in separate drug trafficking cases
In two separate judicial rulings in Argentina, several individuals received prison sentences for involvement in drug trafficking and distribution.
In Paraná, a Federal Oral Court sentenced a couple for operating a marijuana delivery service. Vladimir Iván Centurión, 21, received four years in prison and a fine after authorities discovered he used a motorcycle and a delivery backpack to transport cannabis. His partner, Selena Abigail Godoy, 20, was sentenced to three years and two months of house arrest after a police pursuit led to the discovery of approximately 970 grams of marijuana, equivalent to roughly 12,124 doses.
In a separate case in Villa Nueva, the Crime Chamber of Villa María sentenced three individuals for drug retail. Adrián Fernández received four years in prison for drug trafficking, while his wife, Judith Iriarte, received the same sentence for possession with intent to sell. Analía Fernández received a three-year suspended sentence for simple possession. The prosecution based its case on evidence from seized mobile phones containing messages related to cocaine purchases.
