Argentine equestrian athletes receive local recognition

Two young equestrian athletes in Argentina have received official recognition following successful performances in competitive jumping events.

In Río Grande, the City Council declared the performance of 16-year-old Juana Sandoval to be of Municipal Interest. Sandoval secured two titles in the 60 and 70 centimeter categories during her first federated competition held in Puerto Madryn, Chubut. Sandoval, who trains at Club de Campo La Cimarrona, achieved these results despite having to adapt to a new horse rented specifically for the event.

In Rivadavia, Constantina García Montané was honored by Mayor Juanci Martínez and Education Secretary Mercedes García Duperou after winning the 90-centimeter category at the XXIX Federal Show Jumping Championship. Competing at the Jockey Club Córdoba, Montané represents the Escuela de Equitación del Club Barrio Norte.
