Argentine families seek aid for children battling leukemia

Two families in Argentina are seeking community support to fund urgent medical treatments for children battling leukemia.

Benicio, a 13-year-old from Longchamps, is facing a relapse of an aggressive form of leukemia following a bone marrow transplant. His family is working with the NGO Compromiso Ciudadano to raise funds to access specialized treatment in Uruguay.

Antonia, a 5-year-old from Mar del Plata, is battling acute lymphoblastic leukemia type B. After suffering from sepsis and complications that required the use of a gastric button for feeding, she requires surgery to address esophageal scarring. Her family is facing significant financial hardship due to the costs of care and the inability of her mother to work while providing full-time assistance.
