Argentine football annual table defines 2027 international qualification

The Argentine Liga Profesional's annual table is increasingly determining which clubs will qualify for the 2027 international competitions. Currently, Independiente Rivadavia, Argentinos Juniors, and Vélez Sarsfield occupy the top three positions, which would secure them spots in the Copa Libertadores if the tournament concluded today.

Qualification for the 2027 Copa Libertadores is awarded to the winners of the Torneo Apertura, Torneo Clausura, and Copa Argentina, as well as the three best teams in the 2026 annual table that have not qualified through other means. Belgrano has already secured a Libertadores spot by winning the Apertura. For the 2027 Copa Sudamericana, berths are allocated to the six best teams in the annual table that have not qualified for the Libertadores.

Major clubs such as River Plate, Racing Club, and San Lorenzo are currently outside the qualification zones. River Plate remains the closest to the qualifying positions, sitting in 11th place with 33 points.
