Argentine football clubs compete for 2027 continental qualification

The 2026 Argentine Primera División annual table is determining the qualification spots for the 2027 Copa Libertadores and Copa Sudamericana. Belgrano has already secured a place in the group stage of the Libertadores after winning the 2026 Torneo Apertura.

Six Argentine slots are available for the Copa Libertadores: the winners of the Apertura, Clausura, and Copa Argentina, plus the top three teams from the annual table (with the third-place team entering a preliminary phase). The remaining slots for the Copa Sudamericana will be filled by teams finishing between fourth and ninth in the annual table.

Currently, Independiente Rivadavia, Argentinos Juniors, and Vélez lead the annual table standings. Other clubs positioned for Sudamericana qualification include Boca Juniors, River Plate, Estudiantes de La Plata, Gimnasia de La Plata, Rosario Central, and Independiente. If a tournament winner qualifies via another method, their spot in the annual table ranking is released to the next highest-placed team.
