Argentine football clubs launch charity drives for inclusion and winter aid
The Club de Leones in San Rafael introduced the "Los argentinos somos leones" campaign, raffling specially‑designed Argentina national‑team jerseys that feature the sign‑language alphabet and a portrait of Lionel Messi. The initiative aims to raise funds for community projects and promote awareness of sign language inclusion. Club member Carlos Martín said, “El fútbol es una pasión nacional, que une… cuando está en la selección argentina nos une a todos en esa pasión.”
Separately, the Boca Juniors Foundation started the "Boca te Abriga 2026" campaign, collecting winter clothing such as scarves, hats, gloves and blankets for vulnerable families. Donation points include a reception site in Presidencia Roque Sáenz Peña, Chaco. The drive seeks to provide warmth and support to those in need during the cold season.
