Argentine futsal teams honored after national runner‑up finishes and regional triumphs

Mayor Othar Macharashvili of Comodoro Rivadavia recognized the city’s female senior and male C20 futsal selections for securing second place at the Argentine National Futsal Championships held in Comodoro Rivadavia and Corrientes. He praised the athletes for their dedication, noting the sport’s role in community transformation and confirming continued municipal support for futsal development.

In the Tierra del Fuego region, the women’s team ADEFU won the Regional Futsal Eliminatory, defeating rival Metalúrgico 1‑0. The victory earned ADEFU the right to represent the Patagonian region at the upcoming national tournament. Tatiana Ruiz was highlighted as the competition’s top scorer, while the tournament’s structure, group stages and knockout rounds, were detailed, along with future fixtures for a men’s first‑division ascenso competition scheduled for November.
