Argentine Governors Back New Food Manufacturing Plants

Governor Elías Suárez of Santiago del Estero attended the inauguration of Labofarma S.A.'s new industrial plant in La Banda. The facility will produce functional powdered foods and dietary supplements for children, adults, pregnant women and athletes, and the governor highlighted the province’s goal of generating added‑value products and local employment.

Governor Leandro Zdero of Chaco toured the Grupo Argento SRL plant in Resistencia, a family‑run SME that markets vegan products under the “Hecho en Casa” brand. The company can produce up to 3,000 empanadas per shift and aims to expand its distribution across the province. Both governors underscored provincial support for private entrepreneurs as a driver of job creation and economic development.
