Argentine guitarist Mirta Álvarez heads European tour as national artists unveil extensive concert series

Classical guitarist Mirta Álvarez, native of Chascomús, will embark on a European tour in July‑August 2026, opening in Spain on 20 July with a master class at the 29th José Tomás International Guitar Festival in Petrer, followed by concerts in Cuenca, Granada and the Granada Guitar Festival. The French leg starts on 6 August in Montolieu and continues with performances in Bessèges, Servas, Tharaux, Saint‑Couat, Quirbajou, Toulouse and concludes on 16 August at the Tarbes International Festival.

Meanwhile, a wave of Argentine musicians has announced a crowded schedule of tours and festival appearances across the country and abroad. Natalie Pérez, Ángela Torres, Los Tabaleros, Las Manos de Filippi, Los Auténticos Decadentes, Los Caligaris, Airbag, Olivia Wald and many others will play in provinces such as Santa Fe, Córdoba, Mendoza and Buenos Aires, as well as in Mexico, Colombia, Uruguay, Spain, France, Chile and other venues. Major events include the Harlem and Bandera festivals, the Cosquín de Peñas series, and various theater productions and live shows.
