Argentine Karate Tournament held in Córdoba

The 59th Argentine Karate Tournament recently took place at the Polideportivo Municipal Carlos Cerutti in Córdoba. The event brought together 726 competitors from 16 provinces, including delegations from Salta, Río Negro, Chubut, Tucumán, La Rioja, Mendoza, Santiago del Estero, Santa Fe, Buenos Aires, and Catamarca, as well as members of the National Senior and Youth teams.

The competition featured five areas of competition focusing on both kata (forms) and kumite (combat). The inaugural ceremony included officials such as Sensei José García Maañón, Vice President of the World Karate Federation and President of the Pan American and Argentine Karate Federations.

In a separate regional event in Brinkmann, athletes from the Kyudokan Fattore Dojo, representing the Deportivo Libertad club, achieved six podium finishes. Their results included one gold, two silver, and three bronze medals across various kata and kumite categories.
