Argentine legislative leaders meet South Korean delegation
Argentine legislative leaders Victoria Villarruel, President of the Senate, and Martín Menem, President of the Chamber of Deputies, met with a high-level delegation from the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea led by Vice President Nam In-soon.
The meetings focused on strengthening parliamentary ties and expanding bilateral cooperation. Discussions highlighted economic and commercial opportunities, specifically regarding strategic minerals such as lithium. It was noted that the South Korean company POSCO is currently involved in lithium projects in the provinces of Salta and Catamarca.
Legislative leaders emphasized the importance of institutional exchange and the continuity of a bilateral agenda. The delegation's visit follows a recent presidential meeting between South Korean President Lee Jae-myung and Argentine President Javier Milei, marking a period of increased diplomatic and economic activity between the two nations.
