Argentine local governments allocate funds to strengthen community sports clubs

In Marcos Juárez, Córdoba Province, officials from the provincial sports agency delivered six million pesos and additional subsidies to eight clubs and institutions, including the Motor Club, Aero Club, and several local athletic and library clubs. The funding, part of the "Fortaleciendo Clubes" program, will finance infrastructure upgrades, equipment purchases, and community‑focused activities.

In Quilmes, Buenos Aires Province, interim mayor Eva Mieri and municipal officials handed a monetary grant to Quilmes Atlético Club for the construction of a new multi‑use hall on the Alsina and Lora site. The grant, provided through the municipality’s Club Fund, aims to expand the club’s sports, social and cultural facilities for members and neighborhood residents.

Both distributions highlight the role of Argentine municipal and provincial authorities in supporting sports clubs as social and developmental hubs for youth and the wider community.
