Argentine municipalities initiate neighborhood commission elections
Municipalities in Argentina are initiating electoral processes to renew local neighborhood commissions.
In Esquel, the renewal process for the Valle Chico neighborhood board has begun. The electoral roll is available for review from September 24 until October 9. Candidates must meet specific requirements, including being Argentine or naturalized, having at least six months of residency in the neighborhood, being over 21 years of age, and providing a valid criminal record certificate. The deadline for submitting candidate lists is October 16, with official lists to be published on October 23.
In Oberá, the local government has called for informative assemblies in the Londin and Villa Mousquere neighborhoods to discuss the upcoming elections for neighborhood commission authorities. Meetings are scheduled for October 8 in Barrio Londin and October 13 in Villa Mousquere. These sessions aim to provide details regarding the modality of authority changes, the presentation of lists, and the setting of election dates.
