In Xalapa, Mexico, Mayor Daniela Griego Ceballos has introduced a pilot program for ‘Ruta X’, a web application designed to modernize public cleaning services. The tool allows residents to track garbage collection truck schedules with precision. By scanning QR codes at collection points, citizens can receive real-time alerts via the platform or WhatsApp. The application also enables residents to submit reports or complaints and provide feedback on service quality, while providing the municipality with better oversight of collection routes and vehicle compliance.
